Oncidium Excellens

A primary hybrid of Onc. spectatissimum × Onc. nobile, producing compact inflorescences with several large, boldly patterned flowers open simultaneously. The broadly spreading, lanceolate sepals and petals bear scattered dark spots, framing a trilobed lip with a broad, fringed central lobe and a prominent yellow callus.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the foliage.
• Temperature: 50–72°F (10–22°C); an intermediate to cool grower that benefits from pronounced day-to-night temperature differentials.
• Humidity: 65–80%; good air movement is essential to prevent fungal issues at cooler temperatures.
• Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness between waterings; reduce slightly during cooler, drier periods.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a medium bark mix with excellent drainage. Ships bare root, well established, and ready to acclimate to your growing conditions.
