A hybrid of Onc. Lemon Drop × Onc. Arachne, two Andean Oncidium hybrids with refined ornamental lineage. It produces gracefully arching spikes densely set with medium-sized flowers featuring broadly spreading, undulate sepals and petals with lightly fringed margins and a wide lip with a prominent golden central callus.
-
Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; good light levels encourage prolific blooming and vigorous pseudobulb development.
-
Temperature: 55–72°F (13–22°C); an intermediate to cool grower that benefits from a temperature drop at night and consistent air movement.
-
Humidity: 60–80%; moderate to high humidity supports healthy growth and encourages abundant, long-lasting flowers.
-
Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the substrate to approach dryness between waterings; avoid prolonged wetness at the roots.
Additional Notes
Best grown in a well-draining bark mix in a pot sized to the root system. Plants are shipped bare root and well established; pot promptly upon arrival and water thoroughly to rehydrate the roots.
