It features smooth, glossy leaves that transition from deep green to a brilliant, fiery red when exposed to high light, forming tight rosettes that readily produce offsets to create a dense, hanging cluster.

Light: Very bright, indirect light or dappled sunlight. High luminosity is essential to trigger and maintain its vibrant red pigmentation; in lower light, the foliage will revert to green.
Temperature: 60-85°F (16-29°C). It adapts well to warm conditions but must be protected from freezing temperatures and extreme, dry heat.
Humidity: Moderate to high, ideally between 50-70%. While more resilient than thin-leaved bromeliads, it benefits from consistent ambient moisture and good air circulation to prevent stagnant conditions.
