Lycaste Shonan Bright

A hybrid of Lyc. Shoalhaven × Lyc. John Ezzy, two of the most celebrated grexes in modern Lycaste breeding. Pseudobulbs are robust and well-formed, producing broad, pleated leaves and flowers with exceptional size, substance, and symmetry.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which scorches the broad leaves and stresses pseudobulbs.
• Temperature: 55–75°F (13–24°C); an intermediate grower that benefits from a cooler, drier rest in winter to trigger blooming.
• Humidity: 60–80%; maintain good air circulation to prevent fungal issues on the large leaf surface.
• Watering: Water freely during active growth; reduce significantly once pseudobulbs mature and leaves begin to drop, allowing the mix to dry between waterings during rest.

Additional Notes

Plants are grown in a well-draining bark and perlite mix and shipped bare root, well established. Pot promptly upon arrival and water thoroughly to rehydrate the roots.
