Lycaste Ingapirca Culture

• Light: This orchid prefers bright, indirect light. Filtered sunlight is ideal.
• Temperature: This hybrid thrives in daytime temperatures between 20-24°C (68-75°F). A significant nocturnal temperature drop to 10-15°C (50-59°F) is crucial for healthy growth and to encourage blooming.
• Humidity: High humidity levels, ideally between 60-80%, are essential.
• Watering: They require consistent and plentiful water during their active growing season (when new growths and pseudobulbs are forming). However, once the new pseudobulb has matured and the plant's leaves begin to yellow or drop, it is crucial to reduce watering significantly, allowing a dry rest period.

• Named in tribute to the renowned Incan ruins in Ecuador, Lycaste 'Ingapirca' is a beautiful and meaningful hybrid. Each seedling of 'Ingapirca' can present a slightly different personality. You may find flowers with elegant, broad petals in shades of creamy yellow or rich gold, while others might showcase warmer tones of pink, rose, or even burgundy.
