Hoya affinis

A vining epiphyte from the tropical forests of Southeast Asia with thick, succulent-textured, oval leaves and a twining growth habit. It produces star-shaped flowers with a raised corona, borne singly or in small clusters along the stems.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid harsh direct sun, which can bleach the fleshy leaves.
• Temperature: 60–82°F (16–28°C); performs best as a warm to intermediate grower with stable nighttime temperatures.
• Humidity: 50–70%; adequate humidity supports vigorous vining growth and promotes flowering.
• Watering: Water thoroughly, then allow the substrate to dry out significantly between waterings; never let roots sit in standing water.
• Growth Habit: Twining epiphytic vine with semi-succulent, oval leaves and slender stems that readily climb or trail. Produces star-shaped flowers with a prominent corona along mature stems.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a fast-draining mix of orchid bark and perlite. Shipped bare root, well-established.
