Epidendrum Max Reutlinger

A primary hybrid of Epi. porphyreum × Epi. capricornu, inheriting the massively branched, arching panicles of Epi. capricornu and the vigor and showy floral impact of Epi. porphyreum. The result is an extraordinarily floriferous plant producing cascading panicles densely packed with hundreds of small flowers, each with narrow, acuminate sepals and petals and a small, rounded lip, creating one of the most spectacular floral displays in the genus.

• Light: Bright indirect to moderate direct light with 30–50% shade cloth; more light encourages the prolific branching and dense flowering characteristic of this hybrid.
• Temperature: 54–75°F (12–24°C); an intermediate grower that benefits from moderate temperature fluctuations between day and night.
• Humidity: 65–85%; good air movement around the stems and roots helps prevent fungal issues.
• Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; avoid standing water at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bark-based mix with sturdy support for the arching panicles. Plants are shipped bare root and well established, ready to adapt quickly to their new growing environment.
