Dracaena trifasciata

A striking succulent-like perennial native to the tropical regions of West Africa, forming upright, sword-shaped leaves with a firm, rigid texture and a distinctive banded pattern of irregular horizontal markings. Leaves emerge from a compact basal rosette and can reach impressive heights at maturity.

• Light: Tolerates a wide range from low light to bright indirect light; avoid prolonged direct sun, which can scorch the leaf margins.
• Temperature: 60–85°F (15–29°C); a warm grower that thrives in stable indoor conditions and is sensitive to frost and temperatures below 50°F (10°C).
• Humidity: Adaptable to average indoor humidity (30–50%); does not require high humidity, making it ideal for dry environments.
• Watering: Water sparingly — allow the substrate to dry out almost completely between waterings; overwatering is the primary cause of decline.
• Growth Habit: Upright, clumping rosette that spreads slowly via underground rhizomes, producing new offsets at the base over time.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a fast-draining cactus or succulent mix amended with perlite. Ships bare root, well-established.
