Brassavola cucullata X Cattleya maxima coerulea 'Gigi' x 'Angelo'

Brassavola cucullata X Cattleya maxima coerulea 'Gigi' x 'Angelo' Culture

Brassavola cucullata X Cattleya maxima coerulea 'Gigi' x 'Angelo' is a Brassavola orchid hybrid grown at our nurseries in Ecuador. Like most of its genus it appreciates warm-growing conditions and steady, attentive care.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light, out of direct midday sun.
  • Temperature: Day temperatures of 25-32 °C (77-90 °F) with a gentle drop at night to 20-24 °C (68-75 °F) suit it best.
  • Humidity: Aim for 60-80% humidity year-round, always paired with good air circulation.
  • Watering: Water regularly during active growth, allowing the medium to begin drying between waterings. Reduce slightly during the cooler months.

Additional notes: 'coerulea' in the name denotes its blue-violet color form, a departure from the usual coloring of the species that collectors especially look for.
