Anthurium cabrerense Culture:

Successful cultivation of Anthurium cabrerense requires attention to the following aspects:

  • Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch its leaves.
  • Temperature: Thrives in warm, humid temperatures typical of tropical climates. Ideal temperatures range between 18°C and 27°C (64°F and 80°F).
  • Humidity: Requires high ambient humidity. The use of humidifiers, frequent misting, or cultivation in terrariums may be necessary.
  • Watering: Keep the substrate consistently moist, but not waterlogged. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.
  • Substrate: Prefers a well-draining, airy substrate, rich in organic material.

Additional Notes:

  • It is characterized by its often elongated, lance-shaped leaves.
  • A particularly striking feature of Anthurium cabrerense is its spadix, which is typically a very dark purple, appearing almost black, especially when mature. This unique coloration makes it highly sought after by collectors.
  • Unlike other Anthuriums, Anthurium cabrerense can adapt to intermediate to cold temperatures (growing up to 2200 meters above sea level).

I received a strong rooted plant with 4 large leaves and a new one emerging. There was no damage or loose roots. It was beautiful upon arrival, but she doesn't seem to like her new home too much. Over the last few weeks all leaves have gotten some yellow or brown edges and thr new grow has dropped. It could be my humidity, temp, or light or any combination but everyone around her is really happy. Hoping it settles in soon

I received this plant in terrible condition. All three leaves were dying, and the plant had rot on the roots and part of the base. I reached out (and sent pictures) to see if they would refund me and they never responded . I had high hopes for this company but know you're taking a risk if you order from them
