Anguloa tognettiae Culture:

Successful cultivation of the beautiful Anguloa tognettiae. Here are some important cultural tips to ensure its thriving growth:

  • Light: Anguloa tognettiae thrives in bright, indirect light. Filtered sunlight is ideal, as too much direct exposure can damage its leaves. It grows under the shade of trees in its natural habitat.
  • Temperature: To mimic its natural habitat, aim for daytime temperatures between 18-24°C (65-75°F) and cooler nights around 10-15°C (50-59°F). It is a cool to intermediate growing orchid, so avoid high temperatures.
  • Humidity: Keep humidity levels high at 50-70% and consider using humidifiers or trays to achieve this. It grows in cloud forests, so it appreciates high humidity.
  • Watering: It is essential to keep the substrate consistently moist without waterlogging. A well-draining mix and frequent watering are recommended for optimum growth. It prefers a consistently moist environment, but good drainage is crucial to prevent root rot.

Anguloa tognettiae

Nice large plant with huge leaves. A little damage on the leaves, I think they were too close to the heat pack. Potted it immediately and I can see the leaves have grown even larger, and very fast. A nice addition to my collection, will come back to Ecuagenera to get the other Anguloas. It is a small genus of plants and I want to make a complete collection. Ecuagenera always has the best plants.

Excellent

I picked the orchid at Southern Ontario Orchid Show on Feb 9, 2025. Anguloa tognettiae was even with buds and this was a very nice surprise as I knew it’s blooming in spring and was almost winter in Ecuador. It’s packaging like bouquet was a very nice touch.
Now, on March 19,2025 I have a new growth so for sure I’ll get also flowers next year.
Thank you EcuageneraTeam!

Today I am very happy. I bought it last year in July. And now it's blooming for me. The aroma is super. But the flower is not ordinary. Thank you.
