Andinia nummularia (Rchb.f.) Karremans & S.V.Uribe, first published in Phytotaxa in 2017, is a charming intermediate-growing miniature orchid from Ecuador. Its coin-shaped leaves — hinted at by its name — give it a distinctive, sculptural appearance that makes it a standout in any terrarium. At 10 cm, it offers a slightly larger presence while remaining perfectly suited to compact growing spaces.
