Information

Description

Description

A floriferous epiphyte from the Andean cloud forests, producing long, branching spikes densely set with small, star-shaped flowers. The elliptic sepals and petals display a boldly maculate texture, while the small trilobed lip features narrow lateral lobes and a bilobed frontal lobe flanked by prominent column wings.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun exposure, which can stress the compact pseudobulbs.
  • Temperature: 54–72°F (12–22°C); an intermediate to cool grower that benefits from cooler nights to stimulate spike initiation.
  • Humidity: 65–80%; stable moisture levels support healthy spike development and prolific flowering.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; never allow roots to sit in standing water.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a fine bark mix or mounted on cork to accommodate its active root system. Plants are shipped bare root, well established, and ready to adapt quickly to their new growing environment.
