A floriferous miniature species from the cloud forests of Central America. It grows a single large, smooth elliptic leaf and produces successive flowers directly over the leaf surface, each with three symmetrically arranged ovate sepals of equal size, prominent bilobed petals, and a distinctly visible column at the center.
-
Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the smooth, delicate leaf.
-
Temperature: 55–72°F (13–22°C); an Intermediate grower that benefits from good air circulation and stable temperatures.
-
Humidity: 75–90%; maintain consistently high humidity — ideal for terrariums or humid intermediate setups.
-
Watering: Water frequently to keep the medium evenly moist; avoid prolonged dryness, as Lepanthes roots are sensitive to dehydration.
Additional Notes
Best grown mounted on cork or in a small net pot with fine sphagnum moss. Its large ornamental leaf and intricate flowers make it an excellent terrarium subject. Plants are shipped bare root and well-established.
