Lepanthes orion

A floriferous miniature species from the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing flowers directly on the leaf surface along a highly ornamental, serrated epiphyllous rachis. The blooms display three sharply acuminate, star-shaped sepals framing a bold, globose labellum with upswept contrasting petals, with multiple flowers open simultaneously along the rachis.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun to protect the prominently reticulated foliage.
• Temperature: 50–68°F (10–20°C); a cool grower with a minimum tolerance around 45°F (7°C).
• Humidity: 80–90%; maintain consistently high humidity with good air circulation to prevent fungal issues.
• Watering: Keep roots evenly moist at all times; water frequently and avoid any prolonged dry periods.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a small pot with fine sphagnum moss or mounted to display its ornamental reticulated leaves and epiphyllous blooms. An excellent choice for a well-ventilated terrarium. Ships bare root, well-established.
