Oncidium Amazon Sunrise

A radiant Oncidium hybrid from the cross between Onc. Gale Gettel and Onc. Lemon Drop, combining warm, luminous tones with the free-flowering, branching spray habit that defines the best of the Oncidium alliance. Its cheerful blooms and intermediate adaptability make it a rewarding addition to any collection.

• Light: Bright, indirect light under 40–50% shade cloth; adequate light promotes strong pseudobulb development and abundant spike production.
• Temperature: Intermediate grower. Daytime 65–78°F (18–26°C), nighttime lows of 55–60°F (13–15°C); a consistent day-night differential encourages reliable blooming.
• Humidity: Prefers 60–75% relative humidity; humidity trays or a humidifier paired with good air circulation keep foliage and roots healthy.
• Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness before the next watering; pseudobulbs should remain firm — shriveling indicates insufficient moisture.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining medium bark mix; repot every 2 years or when the substrate begins to break down, ideally just after flowering when new root activity begins.
