Cattleya Mildred Rives

A fragrant hybrid of C. Rita Renee × C. Bou Philippo, producing large, well-opened flowers with very broad, undulate, velvety sepals and petals and a wide tubular lip with a strongly ruffled and fimbriated front lobe. Its generous flower size, classic Cattleya structure, and sweet fragrance make it a prized addition to any warm-growing collection.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 30–50% shade cloth; Cattleyas benefit from higher light levels to promote blooming.
• Temperature: 62–82°F (17–28°C); thrives as a warm grower with stable temperatures and a moderate nighttime drop to initiate flowering.
• Humidity: 50–70%; moderate humidity with good air movement around the pseudobulbs prevents rot and supports healthy growth.
• Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to dry out completely between waterings; Cattleyas are highly susceptible to root rot from overwatering.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a coarse bark mix in a pot or basket with excellent drainage and airflow. Plants are shipped bare root, well established, and ready to adapt to your growing conditions.
