Miltonia candida

Miltonia candida is an elegant Brazilian epiphytic orchid with graceful foliage and a refined species character that stands out in a diverse collection. Its active seasonal growth rewards attentive watering, fresh media, and good air movement.

Care Guide

• Light: Provide medium filtered light, avoiding harsh direct midday sun.
• Water: Water regularly while new growth and roots are active, keeping the medium lightly moist but never stagnant. Allow it to approach dryness between waterings after growth matures, without imposing a prolonged dry rest.
• Humidity: Maintain moderate to high humidity with strong, consistent airflow around the foliage and roots.
• Temperature: Grow in intermediate to warm conditions, preferably with some cooling at night. Protect from frost and prolonged extreme heat.
• Growing medium: Use an airy, moisture-retentive orchid mix that drains freely. Repot as new roots begin and before the medium becomes compacted or decomposed.

With filtered light, regular moisture during active growth, warmth, humidity, and excellent airflow, Miltonia candida can develop into a vigorous and rewarding specimen orchid.
