This exceptional primary hybrid between Masd. veitchiana and Masd. coccinea combines the best traits of both parents, displaying showy tubular flowers with intense coloration and a compact growth habit that makes it ideal for small growing spaces.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50-70% shade cloth. Direct sun will damage foliage and flowers.
  • Temperature: Cool grower. Daytime 59-72°F (15-22°C), nighttime 50-59°F (10-15°C). Requires 10-15°F day-night differential for optimal flowering.
  • Humidity: 70-85% with strong air movement. Maintain with humidity trays, humidifiers, or terrarium culture.
  • Watering: Keep evenly moist throughout the year. Mounted plants need daily watering, potted specimens every 2-3 days. Slightly reduce frequency in winter.

Additional Notes

Thrives mounted on tree fern or cork, or potted in fine bark mix with sphagnum moss.
