  • Light: Bright indirect light to partial shade; avoid direct sunlight. East-facing windows or shaded greenhouse conditions are ideal.
  • Temperature: Daytime 61-75°F (16-24°C), nighttime 52-61°F (11-16°C).
  • Humidity: 70-85% with excellent air circulation.
  • Watering: Keep media consistently moist. Water frequently during active growth, reducing slightly in cooler months without allowing complete drying.

Additional Notes

Native to Ecuador, this species grows in cloud forests at intermediate elevations. It produces flowers with distinctive characteristics that make it stand out among Masdevallia species. Best grown mounted or in small pots with fine bark mix or sphagnum moss.
