Description

Description

A charming mini-miniature species native to the rocky landscapes of South America, producing compact, narrowly conical pseudobulbs topped with a single leathery leaf. The short, upright inflorescences display structural, star-shaped flowers with heavy texture and a highly distinct, nicely contoured lip that creates an enchanting focal point.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; provide strong, filtered illumination to maximize growth and flowering potential.
  • Temperature: 61–84°F (16–29°C); an intermediate to warm grower that adapts easily to standard greenhouse or indoor environments.
  • Humidity: 60–80%; consistent atmospheric moisture coupled with continuous air movement ensures healthy development and flawless foliage.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly when the growing medium approaches dryness; ensure rapid drainage to avoid waterlogged conditions.

Additional Notes

This miniature-statured plant produces lovely, well-proportioned flowers and is best grown on a mount or in a shallow pot with a coarse, fast-draining medium. It ships bare root, healthy, and ready to be gently rehydrated at an intermediate temperature before potting.
