A fragrant epiphyte from the cloud forests of Central America, producing an exceptionally short, compact inflorescence that emerges almost flush with the growing medium and bears tightly clustered flowers with a bold, prominently spotted golden-orange hypochile — a strikingly different habit from the long pendulous racemes typical of the genus. It grows as a robust plant with large pleated leaves well suited to basket culture.
Additional Notes
Must be grown in an open basket or slatted container to allow the compact inflorescence to emerge through the bottom. Use a coarse, well-draining bark mix. Plants are shipped bare root and well-established.
Greetings from Bulgaria. The plant arrived along with three other orchids from my order. All of them were perfectly packed and carefully arranged in the box, with ideal cushioning; consequently, all three plants arrived unharmed and in excellent health. All the orchids in the order pleasantly surprised me, as they had perfect root systems and foliage that exceeded my initial expectations regarding the actual plants. Thank you to the Ecugenera team. Wishing you all good health.
We are so glad to hear that your orchids arrived safely and exceeded your expectations! Thank you for your kind words and warm wishes. We appreciate your support and hope your orchids continue to thrive. Wishing you all the best from our team! ✨🌷
