This is a rare, tropical climbing aroid known for its dramatic textural contrast. It is distinguished by its vibrant, fuzzy, coral-red or pink-scaled stems (petioles), which contrast sharply with its glossy, dark green, heart-shaped leaves.
This plant begins as a terrestrial grower but needs vertical support, like a moss pole, to climb and mature. Like all philodendrons, this plant is toxic if ingested.
My plant plant came dry and with all of the leaves squishy since thin the roots dried out in transit. I had to cut all the leaves off since they weren't going to make it. Hopefully it will reroot, although in my past experience squamicaules do rot very easily with stem cuttings. My other plant in the same order also came very dry :(

Received in poor condition. I don’t think it will recover.
Packaged great, and the plant looks amazing!!
Had this shipped to the U.K and it arrived perfectly! It had a new leaf unfurling which I thought may take a hit but no, 2 weeks on and it's unfurled with no damage. The roots are great. Very pleased with this purchase as always from here.
I ordered online and picked up in Tacoma WA. This plant looked nice when I opened it, but 3 days later it dropped 2 of its 3 leaves. No new growth, but it is still green, so hopefully it will make a come back. Day temps 75-85F, nights 50-60F
