Information

Description

Description

An epiphytic species native to the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing clusters of narrow, star-shaped flowers with elongated sepals and petals and a striking orange-red lip. Its graceful, arching inflorescences carry multiple blooms simultaneously, making it a visually dramatic addition to any collection.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun, which can scorch the leaves.
  • Temperature: 59–77°F (15–25°C); thrives as an intermediate-warm grower with stable nighttime temperatures above 55°F (13°C).
  • Humidity: 60–80%; higher humidity encourages robust growth and enhances the natural fragrance.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness between waterings; avoid prolonged saturation at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted or in a well-draining bark-based mix in a small basket or pot. Plants are shipped bare root, well established, and ready to adapt to your growing conditions.
