Dendrobium annae

I purchased this plant from Ecuagenera at a show having never seen this species before and not knowing what to expect. I have it in its original pot to which I attached a hanger to accommodate its sprawling habit and have continued to grow it for several years. Each cane ends in a section near its tip that is quicky deciduous. For multiple times per year these areas send out clusters of lovely paper white flowers with "painted" purple lips. I have had as many as 25 or 30 open at once, and 9 or 10 months out of each year it has flowers. I just love it!

It arrived with yellow leaves and looked unhealthy. The next day, after unboxing and potting, the leaves started to fall. I was very disappointed.

Received large, healthy specimen. No transport damage and acclimated well. Hope to get it to bloom soon. Highly recommended.

I received this plant in poor shape with some yellow leaves and a few flowers just barely hanging on. The next morning it had turned completely yellow and all the leaves fell off. It also had a poor root system.
