Philodendron luxurians Culture
Cultivating the stunning Philodendron luxurians can be a rewarding experience. Here are some key care guidelines to encourage healthy growth:
Light: Philodendron luxurians prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves. A location near an east- or west-facing window, or a spot with filtered light, is generally ideal.
Temperature: This tropical plant thrives in warm temperatures. Aim for daytime temperatures between 20-27°C (68-80°F). Avoid temperatures below 15°C (59°F), as cold drafts can damage the plant.
Humidity: Philodendron luxurians enjoys high humidity, ideally between 60-80%. Providing adequate humidity can be achieved through several methods, such as using a humidifier, placing the plant on a tray filled with pebbles and water (making sure the pot doesn't sit directly in the water), or grouping plants together.
Watering: Water when the top layer of the potting mix feels slightly dry to the touch. Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent waterlogging, which can lead to root rot. Allow excess water to drain completely after watering. Avoid letting the plant sit in standing water.
Potting Mix: A well-draining potting mix is crucial for Philodendron luxurians. A mix of potting soil, perlite, and orchid bark or coco coir is often recommended to provide adequate aeration and drainage.

Received plant half dead and never recovered, along with two other ones. Sent multiple emails to their customer service and they never responded. Unfortunately, had to report them to the BBB. Did not have a good experience here and wouldn't recommend.

Bought this P. Lux for the 2nd time. They (1st & 2nd) went rotten in a week.
I also bought A. papi & A. dressleri & A. Carla with this order, and they are fantastic and vibrant.
Not sure why P. Lux couldn't make it twice!
Leaves dry out fast , plant still alive I hope it put up new ones soon .
It shipped beautifully and seemed to be doing great. It even had a growing leaf... but it died unfurling. Thinking it was the shock of shipping, I kept caring for it while it acclimated, but it never did. Ended up like a leafless cutting, and finally rotted away... I don't even know how it all happened so fast!! These should come with a warning...
