Information

Description

Description

A rare and architecturally striking species from the tropical forests of South America, producing deeply pinnatilobed leaves with well-spaced, rounded lobes and a glossy, leathery texture. Its bold, sculptural foliage makes it a standout specimen for collectors of unusual Araceae.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can bleach and scorch the glossy leaves.
  • Temperature: 60–82°F (15–28°C); intermediate to warm grower. Avoid cold drafts or temperatures below 55°F (13°C).
  • Humidity: 60–85%; thrives with elevated humidity. A humidifier or pebble tray helps maintain optimal conditions indoors.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the top layer of the mix to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid prolonged saturation, which can lead to root rot in this species.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining aroid mix of bark, perlite, and coco coir. Shipped in pot, well established — ready to grow upon arrival.
