Information

Description

Description

A floriferous epiphyte native to the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing long, highly branched spikes with numerous small flowers spread along slender, pendulous branches. The narrow sepals and petals have an undulate texture with irregularly lobed and twisted margins, while the compact lip features a rounded frontal lobe and a visible basal callus.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun, which can stress the delicate branching spikes.
  • Temperature: 61–82°F (16–28°C); a warm grower that thrives with stable temperatures and good air circulation year-round.
  • Humidity: 60–80%; consistent moisture supports vigorous growth and the production of long, multi-branched spikes.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; never allow roots to sit in standing water.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or in a fine bark mix with excellent drainage and airflow to accommodate its pendulous spike habit. Plants are shipped bare root, well established, and ready to adapt quickly to their new growing environment.
