Information

Description

Description

A highly distinctive epiphyte native to Ecuador, with flattened, leafy pseudobulbs of bright green that give the plant a sculptural, architectural quality. Narrow, erect linear leaves emerge from the pseudobulbs, and multiple tiny star-shaped flowers appear simultaneously directly among the foliage, each with open triangular sepals and a small lip.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can stress the bright green pseudobulbs.
  • Temperature: 55–72°F (13–22°C); an intermediate grower that benefits from stable conditions and good air movement.
  • Humidity: 60–80%; consistent humidity supports healthy pseudobulb development and reliable blooming.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness between waterings; avoid prolonged saturation at the roots.

Additional Notes

Ships bare root and well-established — pot promptly upon arrival in fine bark mix and water generously to rehydrate the roots. Best grown mounted or in a shallow, well-draining pot to showcase its unique pseudobulb structure.
