Information

Description

Description

A floriferous epiphyte from the Andean cloud forests, forming compact clusters of small pseudobulbs with erect, lanceolate leaves. It produces an impressive flush of small flowers simultaneously from the base, each with a cucullate dorsal sepal, spreading lateral sepals, and a lip with distinctly fimbriate lateral lobes.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun exposure.
  • Temperature: 50–68°F (10–20°C); an intermediate-cool grower that benefits from cool nights and stable conditions.
  • Humidity: 65–85%; high humidity supports the compact clumping habit and prolific blooming.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness between waterings; avoid prolonged saturation at the roots.

Additional Notes

Ships bare root and well-established — pot promptly upon arrival in fine bark mix and water generously to rehydrate the roots. Best grown in a small pot or mounted on cork bark.
