• Light: Low to moderate indirect light with 65–75% shade cloth; avoid any direct sun exposure, which quickly damages the delicate foliage.
• Temperature: Cool grower. Daytime temperatures of 55–65°F (13–18°C) and nighttime lows of 46–54°F (8–12°C); sustained warmth above 70°F (21°C) is detrimental to long-term health.
• Humidity: 75–90% relative humidity with constant gentle airflow; a humidifier or enclosed cool-growing environment is strongly recommended.
• Watering: Keep the medium evenly and consistently moist at all times; water every 3–5 days and ensure excellent drainage to prevent root rot.

Additional Notes

Best cultivated mounted on cork bark or tree fern, or in small pots with fine bark or pure sphagnum moss. The epithet idae honors Ida Fernández, the first president of the Peruvian Orchid Club.
