Lepanthes veleziana

A striking miniature epiphyte native to the cloud forests of the Caribbean, bearing flowers directly on the leaf rachis of large, glossy ovate leaves. The blooms feature broadly ovate sepals with a granular iridescent texture, connate lateral sepals forming a wide bilobed blade, and large, prominent bilobed petals with rounded lobes and a bold contrasting dark central blotch.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can damage the broad foliage.
• Temperature: 55–75°F (13–24°C); an intermediate grower that appreciates stable temperatures and consistent air movement.
• Humidity: 70–90%; maintain high humidity with good airflow to prevent fungal issues.
• Watering: Keep evenly moist; water regularly in small amounts and avoid prolonged dryness at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best mounted on cork or tree fern, or potted in a fine, well-draining mix (sphagnum moss or fine bark). Ships bare root, well-established.
