Description

Description

A showstopping miniature species native to Ecuador. It produces large flowers for the genus with concave, inward-curving sepals, a translucent surface marked with bold contrasting veins and spots, and sharp apiculate tips on the lateral sepals.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 60–70% shade cloth; avoid any direct sun, which can damage the delicate foliage.
  • Temperature: 50–65°F (10–18°C); a Cool grower that requires stable, cool conditions and consistent air movement.
  • Humidity: 80–95%; maintain high humidity at all times for optimal growth and blooming.
  • Watering: Water frequently to keep the medium evenly moist; never allow the fine roots to dry out completely between waterings.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or in a small net pot with fine sphagnum moss. Its compact size and exceptionally showy flowers make it a prized addition to any cool-growing collection. Plants are shipped bare root and well-established.
