Information

Description

Description

An unusually vigorous species from the cloud forests of Central America. Unlike most Lepanthes, it develops an erect, branching, vine-like habit with small alternate elliptic leaves arranged in two rows along the stem, producing prolific flowers with spreading triangular sepals and a prominent bilobed labellum from racemes along the nodes.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can damage the delicate foliage.
  • Temperature: 55–72°F (13–22°C); an Intermediate grower that benefits from good air circulation and stable temperatures.
  • Humidity: 75–90%; maintain consistently high humidity — ideal for terrariums or humid intermediate setups.
  • Watering: Water frequently to keep the medium evenly moist; avoid prolonged dryness, as Lepanthes roots are sensitive to dehydration.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork, where its branching, climbing habit can develop freely. Its atypical growth form makes it a distinctive and conversation-worthy addition to any terrarium collection. Plants are shipped bare root and well-established.
