A compact, clump-forming species from the cloud forests of Ecuador, bearing pendant flowers with hooded, cream-white sepals marked with warm brown-gold spotting and tipped with long, slender reddish tails. Its small size and high-humidity requirements make it an ideal candidate for terrarium culture.
Additional Notes
Best grown in a basket or slotted container using fine sphagnum or bark mix to allow pendant spikes to emerge freely. Shipped bare root, well established — ready to mount or basket-plant upon arrival.
All leaves were black. I don t think she will survive!

Ordered 2 Dracula lotax. The communication on the shipping was the best. I was concerned about missing delivery and having them burn in the Fl sun. I knew exactly when they arrived. They were packed so well and were still hydrated. Now I wait…BLOOM! <3
Ordered for pickup at a show and received a healthy plant with ~25 leaves and multiple active growths. Roots are long and in good shape. Over the last two weeks one of the leaves turned yellow and dropped but otherwise I haven't observed any other issues and the plant seems to be adapting well to its new environment. The thing I like about Lotax is it is pretty small and is more tolerant of heat than most draculas since it grows at a lower altitude.
Plant didnt make it. Died within a week after receiving.
I realize this is a difficult little plant, but the leaves had almost all been lost in the shipping and I am desperately hoping to help the little guy recover.
