A miniature epiphyte native to the cloud forests of Ecuador, growing at elevations around 1,600 m, where it produces dense clusters of flowers on zigzag ramicauls. The fleshy, ovate-lanceolate sepals have a glossy, waxy texture and are borne in tight succession, creating a richly layered floral display unusual for the genus.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid harsh direct sun, which can damage the glossy foliage.
• Temperature: 59–72°F (15–22°C); an Intermediate grower that appreciates moderate temperatures with a slight drop at night and good air circulation.
• Humidity: 70–90%; maintain high humidity with good airflow to keep roots and foliage healthy.
• Watering: Keep roots evenly moist; water frequently in small amounts with excellent drainage to prevent root rot.

Additional Notes

Best mounted on cork bark or grown in a small net pot with fine sphagnum moss to maintain root moisture and aeration. A closed terrarium or enclosed glass container makes an excellent environment for this species, though it can also thrive in any humid, well-ventilated setup. Ships bare root, well-established.
