A slender, elegant reed-stem species that produces terminal clusters of delicate flowers with a refined, understated charm characteristic of the smaller Andean Epidendrum. Its compact cane habit and adaptable intermediate nature make it an easy, rewarding species for growers at any level.
Additional Notes
Native to Ecuador at mid-elevation Andean forests between 1,500–2,500 meters. Best grown in a well-draining medium bark mix; repot every 2–3 years when the substrate begins to break down.
Correct taxonomy for this Plant ( in the photo) = Epidendrum moritzii. Could also be Epidendrum uribei since flowers are almost the same, depending on material origin.
