Dracula andreettae

Dracula andreettae is a remarkable cloud-forest orchid treasured for its intricately shaped flowers and elongated sepal tails. The blooms emerge beneath the foliage with a wonderfully unusual, almost theatrical presence, making this species especially appealing to collectors of distinctive cool-growing orchids.

Care Guide

• Light: Provide low to medium, filtered light and protect the foliage from direct sun.
• Water: Keep the roots evenly moist throughout the year, preferably using clean, low-mineral water. Never allow the medium to dry completely.
• Humidity: Maintain high humidity together with constant, gentle air circulation.
• Temperature: Grow in cool to intermediate conditions with cooler nights, avoiding prolonged heat.
• Growing medium: Use an open basket with a fine, moisture-retentive orchid mix so the descending flower spikes can emerge freely through the sides and bottom.

Given cool temperatures, soft light, humid moving air, and dependable moisture, Dracula andreettae can become a fascinating specimen with truly memorable flowers.
