Cyrtorchis arcuata

Cyrtorchis arcuata is an elegant African epiphytic orchid admired for its waxy white flowers and long, graceful nectar spurs. The blooms often release their fragrance most noticeably after dusk, transforming a mature plant into a beautifully scented nighttime display.

Care Guide

• Light: Provide bright, filtered light. Gentle morning sun can be beneficial, but avoid harsh midday exposure.
• Water: Water regularly while the plant is actively growing, allowing the roots to dry lightly between waterings. Reduce watering somewhat when growth slows, without leaving the plant dry for extended periods.
• Humidity: Maintain moderate to high humidity with strong air circulation around the exposed roots.
• Temperature: Grow in intermediate to warm conditions. Protect the plant from cold drafts and prolonged low temperatures.
• Growing medium: Grow mounted, in a basket, or in a very coarse, fast-draining orchid mix that keeps the roots well aerated.

With warmth, humidity, and excellent root ventilation, Cyrtorchis arcuata rewards the grower with sculptural white flowers and an enchanting evening fragrance.
