Caladium Scarlet Mary

A named fancy-leaf Caladium hybrid selected for its bold, heart-shaped leaves with a smooth, semi-glossy texture and deeply impressed primary venation that radiates from the petiole insertion. The lamina is broad and slightly undulate at the margins, giving each leaf a lush, full presence.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which bleaches and scorches the delicate leaf tissue.
• Temperature: 65–82°F (18–28°C); an intermediate-warm grower that requires consistently warm conditions and protection from cold drafts.
• Humidity: 60–80%; high humidity supports full leaf expansion and maintains the vibrancy of the variegated patterning.
• Watering: Keep the substrate evenly moist during active growth; reduce watering during dormancy and never allow the tuber to sit in standing water.
• Growth Habit: A tuberous, seasonally deciduous hybrid with an upright, clumping habit. It produces multiple stems per tuber, making it a full, well-branched specimen well-suited to both indoor and sheltered outdoor cultivation in warm climates.
