Information

Anthurium besseae 'Green Zafire' Culture

Anthurium besseae 'Green Zafire' is a warm-growing aroid species of the genus Anthurium, grown and propagated at our nurseries in Ecuador.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light. Direct sun can scorch the velvety foliage.
  • Temperature: It prefers days of 25-32 °C (77-90 °F) and cooler nights around 20-24 °C (68-75 °F).
  • Humidity: High, stable humidity (70-85%) keeps the foliage in top condition; a humidifier or grouping plants together helps in dry rooms.
  • Watering: Water when the top of the substrate starts to dry; the mix should stay lightly moist, never waterlogged.

Additional notes: Like all aroids, it is considered toxic if ingested, so keep it out of reach of pets and children.
