A reed-stem orchid native to the lowland and foothill forests of Ecuador, producing erect, lax racemes with medium-sized flowers featuring wavy, softly textured sepals and petals and a trilobed lip with a prominent central lobe and a contrasting yellow callus. Conspicuous, spotted bracts subtend each flower along the rachis, giving the inflorescence a distinctive, ornate appearance.
Additional Notes
A species native to the lowland and foothill forests of Ecuador, best grown in a well-draining bark-based mix with consistent moisture. The spotted bracts and wavy flowers make it a distinctive addition to any warm-growing collection. Ships bare root, well-established.
