Specklinia grobyi (Big)

A large, well-established mat of this prolific miniature epiphyte from the cloud forests of South America, forming a dense, fan-shaped clump of spatulate, succulent leaves. Numerous slender, wiry inflorescences rise simultaneously above the foliage, each bearing clusters of tiny, star-shaped flowers — producing a spectacular mass-blooming display across the entire plant.

• Light: Moderate to bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can desiccate the succulent foliage.
• Temperature: 60–78°F (16–26°C); an intermediate-warm grower that adapts well to stable indoor conditions.
• Humidity: 60–80%; moderate to high humidity supports vigorous mat growth and prolific flowering.
• Watering: Keep evenly moist; this species prefers not to dry out completely between waterings due to its fine, shallow root system.

Additional Notes

Blooms repeatedly throughout the year with multiple simultaneous spikes. Best grown in a shallow basket or small pot with fine bark or sphagnum moss, or mounted on cork bark. An exceptional specimen for any intermediate-warm collection. Ships bare-root in excellent condition.
