Description

A rare and extraordinary intergeneric hybrid from the cross of Pna. herrerae and Stan. Dachart, registered under the nothogenus Paphinopea. This exceptional orchid inherits the intricate, jewel-like flower patterning of Paphinia with the pendulous inflorescence habit and bold fragrance characteristic of Stanhopea, resulting in a truly one-of-a-kind collector's specimen.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light; a shaded greenhouse or bright indoor window without direct sun is ideal.
  • Temperature: Intermediate growing; thrives at 58–78°F (14–26°C). Benefits from mild nighttime temperature drops to encourage blooming.
  • Humidity: High humidity, 60–80%. Good air movement is essential to prevent fungal issues at the roots and pseudobulbs.
  • Watering: Water frequently during active growth, allowing the medium to dry slightly between waterings. Reduce watering during cooler rest periods.

Additional Notes:

Like Stanhopea, inflorescences emerge downward through the basket, so this orchid must be grown in an open slatted basket to allow proper bloom development. Flowers are richly patterned and intensely fragrant. An exceptional and seldom-seen hybrid for the advanced orchid enthusiast.
