Information

Description

Description

An epiphytic species native to the cloud forests of Ecuador, bearing solitary flowers on slender peduncles with narrow, acutely pointed sepals, upward-curving lateral petals, and a boldly structured trilobed lip with a prominent midlobe and a contrasting white column. Its elegant floral architecture and compact growth habit make it a distinctive addition to any warm-growing collection.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the foliage.
  • Temperature: 62–82°F (17–28°C); thrives as a warm grower with stable temperatures and minimal cold exposure.
  • Humidity: 65–85%; consistent high humidity supports healthy root activity and prolific blooming.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness between waterings; avoid prolonged saturation at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bark-based mix in a small pot or mounted on cork. Plants are shipped bare root, well established, and ready to adapt to your growing conditions.
