Description

This primary hybrid combines Masd. glandulosa with Masd. sanctae-inesae, producing distinctive flowers with vibrant coloration and the characteristic tubular form of both parent species.

  • Light: Bright indirect light to partial shade; avoid direct sunlight. East-facing windows or shaded greenhouse conditions are ideal.
  • Temperature: Daytime 59-72°F (15-22°C), nighttime 50-59°F (10-15°C).
  • Humidity: 70-85% with excellent air circulation.
  • Watering: Keep media consistently moist. Water frequently during active growth, reducing slightly in cooler months without allowing complete drying.

Additional Notes

This hybrid combines Masd. glandulosa from Ecuador with Masd. sanctae-inesae, also from Ecuador. The cross produces flowers with unique characteristics from both parents. Best grown mounted or in small pots with fine bark mix or sphagnum moss.
