Description

This charming species produces delicate flowers with distinctive coloration and graceful form, making it a wonderful addition to intermediate-growing Masdevallia collections.

  • Light: Bright indirect light to partial shade; avoid direct sunlight. East-facing windows or shaded greenhouse conditions are ideal.
  • Temperature: Daytime 61-75°F (16-24°C), nighttime 52-61°F (11-16°C).
  • Humidity: 70-85% with excellent air circulation.
  • Watering: Keep media consistently moist. Water frequently during active growth, reducing slightly in cooler months without allowing complete drying.

Additional Notes

Native to Ecuador, it grows in cloud forests at intermediate elevations and produces flowers with delicate characteristics. Best grown mounted or in small pots with fine bark mix or sphagnum moss.
