Amphilophium crucigerum is a vigorous and ornamental tropical climbing vine from the Bignoniaceae family, native to the forests and woodland edges of South America. First described by (L.) L.G.Lohmann and published in Nuevo Cat. Fl. Vasc. Venezuela: 270 (2008), this intermediate-growing species is prized for its attractive foliage and its showy, trumpet-shaped flowers — characteristic of the Bignoniaceae family — which appear in clusters and add a spectacular tropical flair to any garden trellis, pergola, or large indoor space. Its vigorous climbing habit and lush, paired leaflets make it a rewarding and fast-growing ornamental for tropical and subtropical gardens.
