Paphiopedilum Cocoa Gem

A hybrid of Paph. Tsukuda Redval × Paph. Red Gem, combining two complex slipper orchid lines selected for their richly patterned flowers with strong, well-rounded form. The dorsal sepal is broad and upright with a spotted pattern, the lateral petals spread horizontally with a firm margin, and the pouch is deep and prominently structured.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun exposure, which can cause leaf scorch.
• Temperature: 60–75°F (15–24°C); a warm to intermediate grower that performs well in stable indoor environments.
• Humidity: 60–80%; consistent moderate to high humidity supports healthy foliage and reliable blooming.
• Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the top of the medium to approach dryness before the next watering; avoid waterlogging at all times.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a coarse bark-based mix in a plastic or glazed ceramic pot to maintain adequate moisture without saturation. Plants are shipped bare root and well established, with a strong, healthy root system ready to adapt to a new medium.
