Information

Description

Description

A reed-stem epiphyte from the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing dense, rounded clusters of small flowers on erect, multi-branched inflorescences. The individual blooms display spreading sepals and petals with a distinctly fringed, lobed lip.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun, which can scorch the foliage.
  • Temperature: 50–68°F (10–20°C); an intermediate-cool grower that appreciates cool nights to stimulate blooming.
  • Humidity: 70–85%; good air circulation is essential to prevent fungal issues at high humidity levels.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; never allow roots to sit in standing water.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bark-based mix or mounted on cork or tree fern. Plants are shipped bare root and well established, ready to adapt quickly to their new growing environment.
